This reprint prepared by Hope Farm Press in 1973 is a full-text reissue of one of the important primary sources relating much of the history of the ill-fated Canajoharie and Catskill Railway. This paperback booklet contains the entirety of the “Report of the Railroads Committee upon several petitions for legislative aid to the Canajoharie and Catskill Railroad” prepared for the New York State Legislature in 1838 amid the rail line’s terminal financial difficulties. The booklet ends with a small bibliography of all the documents of the New York State Legislature that relate to the Canajoharie and Catskill Railroad prepared for scholars by Charles Dornbusch.
